REGION MANAGER (WEST REGION)

Hamworthy Peabody Combustion Inc., an integral part of the global network of Hamworthy Combustion Engineering, is an acknowledged world leader in the design and supply of optimized combustion equipment for utility and industrial customers. We have been providing the highest quality burner and combustion solutions for the Power and Process industries since 1920. With our continuing growth, we are further expanding our field sales network, thus are seeking an outstanding Individual to fill our opening for a Region Manager for the West U.S. territory.

Reporting to the National Sales Manager, the Individual for this outside sales position shall possess excellent communication and inter-personal skills, which will be required for direct customer interface. The Individual shall be responsible for the promotion, development and sale of Hamworthy Peabody's valued-added systems, solutions and services within this territory to the Power and Process Industries. The Individual will also be responsible for coordinating customer representative’s activities within the territory.

The Individual will have a bachelor's degree in mechanical or chemical engineering and have at least seven years outside sales experience in an industrial or utility combustion environment, together with direct exposure to boiler / burner / combustion systems. Travel expected to exceed 50%. True effectiveness of this position requires the qualified individual to reside in this territory.

Our sales compensation package includes a flexible operating base plus commission and car allowance. ENVIRONMENTAL PROPOSAL ENGINEER

Hamworthy Peabody Combustion Inc. seeks an Environmental Proposal Engineer for its Houston, Texas offices. Design, plan and perform engineering duties related to proposing equipment for pollution control to mitigate the release of hazardous gases. Respond to Gen. PROJECT ENGINEER

Hamworthy Peabody Combustion Inc., an integral part of the global network of Hamworthy Combustion Engineering, is an acknowledged leader in the design and supply of industrial and utility combustion systems since 1920. We currently have an opening for a Project Engineer.

Reporting to the Vice President, this position is responsible for the overall execution of contracts in accordance with the company's Quality Management System. Key duties are:

  • Overall project management including the production of project schedules, liaison with the customer, suppliers and other departments to ensure scheduled contract completion.
  • Select, design and purchase equipment to meet contract requirements
  • Communicate with customers and visit job sites as required to ensure satisfactory contract execution.
  • Obtain competitive quotes and issue purchase orders for major components ensuring compliance with specifications.
  • Provide monthly reports on contract cost, invoicing forecast and status.
  • Liaison with Service Department to coordinate commissioning and service, provide any necessary technical assistance to allow satisfactory commissioning of the equipment supplied.

Main Qualification requirements are:

  • At least five years relevant work experience
  • Bachelors degree
  • Understanding of fluid flow, heat transfer, combustion, controls and instrumentation.
  • Understanding of financial control of projects
  • Computer literate (Microsoft Office, Project etc)

PURCHASING ASSISTANT

Hamworthy Peabody Combustion Inc., an integral part of the global network of Hamworthy Combustion Engineering, is an acknowledged leader in the design and supply of industrial / utility burner and related combustion systems since 1920. We are seeking a Purchasing Assistant in our Shelton, CT headquarters.

This individual will be responsible for purchasing manufactured items from sub-contract fabrications shops. Experience of steel fabrications, machining, and welding of capital equipment is essential. Purchase of valves, gauges, pressure switches, etc from approved suppliers as specified by equipment list. Select and monitor vendors and fabricators. Maintain company's data system with respect to Items maintenance, Bills of Materials and Configurations.

FIELD SERVICE ENGINEER

Hamworthy Peabody Combustion Inc., an integral part of the global network of Hamworthy Combustion engineering, is an acknowledged leader in the design and supply of industrial / utility burner and related combustion systems since 1920. Current and forecasted growth has necessitated an expansion of our service department such that we are seeking a Field Service Engineer.

Reporting to the Service Manager, the individual shall possess excellent communication and inter-personal skills for interfacing with customers. Travel expected to exceed 50%.

The individual will have a minimum of 10 years experience in the combustion field as well as experience on both fuel oil and gas firing and be familiar with boiler / burner combustion control systems in an industrial / utility environment.
